"Boris Austin is a freelance British photographer based in Beijing, China. With More than 10 years of media experience he has worked for Companies Such as BBC, Honda, St Lukes Communications and Bloomberg. Boris became a lecturer on the UK Photojournalism Masters Degree based in China after completing the course himself. His work has received awards and has been printed in magazines and publications worldwide.

Recent Work includes curating and publishing a 30 Page "China Special" for Dutch Magazine Onze Wereld. Corporate photography for Canons Ceo Tsuneji Uchida and Shooting an Olympic Portrait project and short film for UK Production company Faction films. "

My intimate China Project has been nominated for "best long story" in the Dutch National Mercur prize for magazine excellence.

My Solidified memories project was Exhibited At Pingyao International Photography Festival

Took part in Government funded trip to Guizhou province in southern China with the aim of showing the "cultural diversity of its Ethnic Minority population"

I have recently curated a 30 Page "China Special" (Intimate China) and made a film - both have just been published in July 2008.

My Solidified Memories project was exhibited at The Photographers' Gallery London for the Summer 2008 "Fresh faced and wild eyed" Competition. http://www.photonet.org.uk/index.php?pxid=941#

Later in the month the project was also exhibited locally in Dalian and at the Shenyang International Photo Festival.
